I am a Year 8 student at Edmund Hillary School in Auckland, NZ. I am in Room 10 and my teacher is Peta. This is a place where I will share my learning. Please note that some of it will not be complete, it will be my first draft. Remember to be positive, thoughtful and helpful when you leave me a comment.

I enjoyed this land. This land has the most beautiful. It's cold - The tundra is the coldest of the biomes. The average temperature in the tundra is around -18 degrees. It's dry - The tundra gets about as much precipitation as the average desert, around 10 inches per year. Most of this is snow. But i am so happy to explore this land. Thank you From Shriya
Should logging be allowed in New Zealand? I disagree that logging should be allowed in New Zealand because... 1.We need tress for breathing and for living. 2.All the birds will need tress to live on and to build their nests.
five questions that you would like to ask Sir Edmund Hillary about his life. What did his father, Percival, do for a living? What did Sir Edmund Hillary's sister made for him for good luck? What was Sir Edmund Hillary's goal and journey after climbing after Mount Everest? If Sir Edmund Hillary's dad had a goal for something that he wants that Sir Edmund Hillary have a good luck for climbing Mount Everest what would it be?
If Sir Edmund Hillary had be knighted what will he do to protect his family and his Queen what will it be to protect?
The name of the animal the WWF is working to save? Elephants to polar bears, WWF fights to secure a future for animals on the planet we all share. WWF helped bring back the Amur tiger and Africa's black rhinos from the edge of extinction. What the WWF is doing to help the animal? work is far from done, and WWF constantly strives to protect the species we all care about.
Wasps, hypothermia and hidden mine shafts – the on-the-job hazards for Department of Conservation (DOC) rangers may be unlike any other.
Incident reports filed by DOC workers detailing injuries, near-misses and abuse from the public reveal the downsides to working in New Zealand's great outdoors.
Consider the DOC ranger who nearly fell into a hidden mine shaft or the one who was hospitalised after being attacked by a horde of wasps.
3 pros (good things) about working as a DOC ranger
DOC employees work with a wide range of organisations and individuals to protect native species and special places so they are here for generations to come, and help New Zealanders get involved in conservation.
You'll get respect, recognition and opportunities for personal growth
The DOC ranger people have a shared vision to make New Zealand the greatest living space on Earth.
