SLJ - Te Reo Maori - Ice cream

Malo e lelei Everyone,

Yesterday's ( Wednesday) task was about ice cream flavors in Te Reo Maori. In this activity, we needed to write different flavors of ice cream in Te Reo. Almost on each slide has audio which we have to listen to. A person is speaking in Te Reo and we have to guess what they are saying and write it down on the slide.

I found this activity easy and fun to do.

What is your favourite ice cream flavor?

Happy Holidays

It’s Shannon here, from the Summer Learning Journey.

Summer certainly means ice cream to me, so I can see why you enjoyed this activity Shriya. You have done really well translating the te reo and I liked the way you used the circle shape to add your ice cream flavours to your slides.

My favourite flavour is mint chocolate chip, although I love when the ice cream is made from fresh fruit the best. Have you ever tried an ice cream made from fresh fruit?

Have you ever used the textures available on the Explore tool? You could use them in a circle shape to make up your own ice cream designs for a bit of fun.

    Ka kite anō,
    Shannon (SLJ)

Will you add other flavours in too in the future? Also, my favourite ice-cream spot is Pokeno. Where's your favourite ice-cream place?
