To: Jacinda Ardern letter - Taking the lead

Dear: Jacinda Ardern

I am Shriya and I wanted to tell you that you should start going to other schools and telling them what you would expect in 2 years. I thought I would ask you or you can think about saving our planet from climate change, pollution and about the environment. Every school in Aotearoa ( New Zealand) is helping to save our planet. As I am a student, I have learnt that from all the smoke from factories to fires, it has been ruining the pollution for kids and adults. The ocean animals have been dying from plastic and rubbish. I would be delighted for you to put a news about that we should stop throwing litter everywhere and that banned plastic bags and other plastic stuff and turn them into paper bags and other paper stuff so that when we throw paper bags it could go in the right bin and it will be beautiful to see no plastic lying around anywhere.

 Thanks Shriya

  1. Hey Shriya,

It's super cool to hear that you are passionate and concerned about pollution and how it effects climate change. I like how you have invited her to speak and share what she thinks we could do. And going into schools would be a great way for her to share her plans and encourage us to do more to look after our home. Great stuff Shriya, Ka pai!

    See you in the comments.

    Daniel :)
